- Tutta La Vita was sold to John Stewart’s Resolute Racing for $3.2 million last month.

Tutta La Vita going to USA
Tutta La Vita was set to race in this Saturday’s Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2200m) before her trainer revealed that she was going to be scratched from the race.
“She’s not going to run,” trainer Chris Waller said before revealing that Tutta La Vita would not be racing in Australia again.
“She’s going to go to America, which I’m fully supportive of,” Waller said in his weekly stable update from Sydney.
Despite winning just one of her 12 starts, Tutta La Vita was sold to Resolute Racing’s John Stewart for $3.2 million last month. She has placed in three Group One races so far.
Breeder’s Cup likely for Tutta La Vita
In addition to revealing that she would not take place in this year’s Group 1 Queensland Oaks, Chris Waller let slip what Stewart has in mind for Tutta La Vita once she moves to the US.
According to Waller, Tutta La Vita will race in the Breeder’s Cup this October.
“You’ll probably see her run in the Breeders Cup, which is normally the end of October,” the trainer said.
“Resolute Racing and the team are going to take her there, so it will be good to have The Autumn Sun flying the flag for Australia and certainly Tutta La Vita.”
Tutta La Vita will probably be an outsider at Del Mar in October according to the horse racing betting odds, but she will surely have lots of Australian punters backing her.
Waller confident of stable
While losing Tutta La Vita is a big loss, Waller is confident in his remaining stable. The trainer believes Scarlet Oak is his best horse and one the racing world should be looking out for.
“She(Scarlet Oak) is probably our No 1 seed,” Waller said.
“I don’t like to have favourites, but I think what she did last start – in fact, in her limited runs to date – would announce her as a pretty serious horse on the rise.
“It’s another step and a step up in distance, [there’s] a lot of boxes unticked, but a filly of her class should be very hard to bowl.”

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
