After winning the Group 1 Tancred Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday, Dubai Honour and William Haggas are eyeing a Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes win for the seven-year-old gelding. Dubai Honour has not ever lost a Group 1 race in Australia.

Bellazaine and North England are not among the Golden Slipper betting favourites for the $5 million race next week. However, co-trainer Gai Waterhouse says that she thinks her gallopers have what it takes to impress at Rosehill Gardens on March 22.

Chris Waller’s Joliestar looks likely to pick up in 2025 where she left off in 2024 following a strong trial run at Rosehill on Saturday. Her trainer says she could make her 2025 debut at Flemington in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap.

Ryan & Alexiou Racing are set to debut an untested runner, Sanctified. The two year old will run in this Saturday’s Chandon Handicap at the outfit’s home track of Gardens. If he wins, the colt could run in next month’s $2m Inglis Millennium at Randwick.

After finishing third in the Five Diamonds Prelude and runner-up in the Five Diamonds at Rosehill last weekend, trainer Tony Gollan says Freedom Rally could be as good as Antino. The five-year-old already has earned over $1 million in prize money.

Annabel Neasham’s Sunshine In Paris will make her 2024/25 season debut this Saturday at Rosehill Racecourse in the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes (1200m). The five-year-old mare won this race last year before a ligament strain derailed her 2023/24 campaign.

Schwarz won the Group 2 Missile Stakes (1200m) by a head on Saturday. It was the first Group 2 win of the young stallion’s career. The victory was also the first Group win for the new training duo of Tom Charlton and John O’Shea.
