In its last race on the Sunshine Coast on September 29, it came out on top with a winning margin of 3.8 lengths. It was carrying 59kg and held off Warrant (58kg), which was pretty good to watch at $1.65 odds. So, it's looking in good touch for this race. Before that, Merchant Flyer finished first at Sunshine Coast in a Cls 1 on September 15, 2024, over 1400m. Good stats at the distance too, bodes well for Friday. Racing well at the moment and seems to love this track.

I like the look of Musgrave in Race 5 at Moonee Valley for an each-way bet. It has raced well at the Valley over his career, which includes a win. He also likes the distance. Also, Musgrave has beaten the favourite (Tewkesbury) in this race previously so it could challenge the field down the straight.
