Racing fans should keep an eye on Warrior For Peace - it’s my standout bet for Friday. Building on the debut experience, this second race is another chance to shine on the track for Warrior For Peace. On 14/03/2025, Warrior For Peace lined up at Muswellbrook, finishing 1st over 1500m. Backed at $5.00, jumped from barrier 5, and carried 58.5kg under Braith Nock. Warrior For Peace is trained by B F Cavanough. Drawn ideally to stay out of trouble and position up nicely. Doesn’t look it will have much competition in this race and it should do it easily if eveything goes to plan.

Winds Of March is flying under the radar but could surprise punters on Friday. A game fourth-place effort last race, battling all the way at Cranbourne. Winds Of March stepped out at Sandown-Hillside on 19/03/2025, finishing 4th over 2400m. Raced on a good surface, carrying 58.5kg under Patrick Moloney. If the track plays fair, the barrier shouldn’t be a major disadvantage. Expect Patrick Moloney to be in control this Friday. Their experience and race craft make them a strong contender for the win. With a decent bloodline, I think this horse can give a good showing. Hasn’t won at Cranbourne yet, but might be ready to change that.

The racing at Randwick created an exciting Saturday last week because several horses delivered exceptional performances. The Country Championships Final provided Know Thyself with a momentous success. Vinrock demonstrated superior racing ability by winning the Inglis Sires' Produce Stakes. Briasa stunned the field in the TJ Smith Stakes after it passed heavily favoured Overpass during the race. The promising Stefi Magnetica gave trainer Bjorn Baker a massive win in the Doncaster Mile, followed by the well-favoured Aeliana, who produced a dominating performance in the Australian Derby.

Five Group one races headline the Randwick meeting this Saturday including the highly anticipated $5 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The Sydney Cup utilises 3,200 metres for authentic staying races and the Australian Oaks pits three-year-old fillies against each other over 2,400 metres before elite mares battle it out in the Queen of the Turf Stakes running a mile distance.
