Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 15/03/24

Racing comes back to Kembla Grange racecourse and Pakenham racecourse this Friday for two solid cards of racing and I have run through both of them extensively and posted full length free horse racing tips on our site. Best Tip: Pakenham - R3 - #8 - Illative

Happy to make Illative my best bet of the day here for the Price and Kent stable. He has come back well from a 30 week spell and looked particularly good when stepping out at Flemington two weeks ago when forced off the pace and very wide in the run but still finding plenty to get going hard in the straight and fly home to just miss the win. He looks like an extremely sharp maiden and should be shedding the tag here.

Best Roughie: Kembla Grange - R7 - #4 - Mare Of Mt Buller

Mare Of Mt Buller rates very highly here and I have placed an early bet on her already for Chris Waller. He’s won three on the trot since coming back from a 23 week spell at the end of last year and has been afforded nice breaks between each of the runs, most recently coming from a 7 week let up where he stepped out at Rosehill two weeks back over the 1500m and got into a battle in the straight but finished too strong to win well there. He will shape up fitter for this assignment, has been turned around quicker and I think the price is ridiculous.

Stats and Insights

Kembla Grange is a very spacious course that is different to a lot of other provincial racecourses and mimics something more like Randwick which lends plenty of opportunity for runners to come on strongly late in the piece.

Watch out for Chris Waller’s runners at Kembla Grange tomorrow, he appears to be sending an assault of midweek runners across the country.

Pakenham is one of the smallest tracks in the country, with only 1400m circumference and as such suited to front-runners and those horses with the ability to race handy to the pace
