Having run second in three straight races, Frankly Elegant has every chance to win this time around. Backed by three successful performances from four races at Canterbury, her 2 victories and 3 runner-up finishes on soft tracks prove she thrives in these conditions.

Last start, she ran second place over 1800m at Randwick-Kensington and handled the soft track while pulling 57.5kg. She earned second place at 1550m in her Canterbury race and has shown reliable results throughout this prep. Since she has won at this distance before moving up to 1900m should suit her well.

With barrier 1, past achievements and under jockey Tim Clark Frankly Elegant looks ready to succeed.

Miss Titeline presents as an interesting roughie, boasting a solid place strike rate of 71% from her 21 career starts. She has been competitive at this trip before, finishing second over 1000m at Caulfield Heath two starts back, and while she is yet to win over the journey, she has placed in one of her two attempts.

Her last run at Flemington over 1000m didn’t go to plan, finishing last in a tough field, but prior to that, she was in strong form, including a win at Geelong over 1100m on a soft track. She has raced once at Moonee Valley, finishing third, and with barrier 1 and John Allen back in the saddle, she should get every chance to feature in the finish. A proven performer at odds, Miss Titeline is one to keep safe for exotics.
