Racing comes back to the Sunshine Coast racecourse and Bendigo racecourse for two solid Sunday cards as we come off the back of a great Saturday of horse racing betting with my free full length horse racing tips going quite nicely across the three cards and I am keen to close the week off in a solid way. Best Tip: Sunshine Coast - R6 - #2 - Scantoon

Scantoon is a sharp horse for Stephanie Kendrick that should be improving sharply second up here. He came off of a 19 week break at this course last time out when beginning well and leading the race into the home straight before just finding a few better late. He will retain a huge fitness benefit off the back of that race and has run well second up in the past. Gets a claimer on board as well and rates highly here.

Best Roughie: Bendigo - R6 - #7 - Gundaroo

Gundaroo steps well back in grade here and with hard fitness should be prominent here. He won when second up at Flemington two runs back at the end of December where he drove to the front at the 300m and kept fighting in the straight to just stick on for the win. He didn’t produce all that much last time out at Sandown but I think he can hit back hard here now and has likely been wound up for this assignment.

Stats and Insights

Sandown Lakeside has a similar dip to the Hillside in the course at around the 450m mark by the rail. As such it suits horses that make their runs away from the inside, enabling them to avoid the dip at the 450m mark.
Sandown Lakeside has a smaller turn from the 800 to the 400 compared to Hillside which allows for runners to come on from wider more, this creates more of a shoot out effect.

Sunshine Coast has open angled bends which give back markers a good opportunity to come from behind and win

At Sunshine Coast racecourse Barrier draws are of least importance at the 1300 and 1400 metre.
