On Thursday, the racing continues with some expected quality races at Pakenham. I'm heading to Pakenham for my best bet of the day in Race 7. I also like the look of Dollar Shotin Race 5 at Pakenham. At Pakenham, the track conditions should be nice for race day, it's a good 4 rating at the moment. Let's get into the free Australian horse racing tips!

I'm backing Glenfinnan as a solid selection for Thursday, expect it to be hard to beat. Strong finishing effort led to a win last time out. Glenfinnan stepped out at Sandown-Lakeside, finishing 1st over 1600m. Raced on a good surface, carrying 59kg under Blake Shinn. Jockey Luke Currie gets the ride on Thursday. They're a talented jockey with a solid race sense. From the Ms L Tolson & Ms L Proctor Stable, you can expect a quality horse. Never beaten over this trip 1600m - hard to look past it. Hasn’t won at Pakenham yet, but might be ready to change that.

I like the potential of Dollar Shot to possibly get the win or run a place. Claimed third place last start, running on well to the line. Dollar Shot competed at Sandown-Lakeside over 1200m, finishing 3rd. Jumped from barrier 9, carried 59kg, and was ridden by Joe Bowditch. Has won from similar barriers before, so should be fine. Trainer Ms D Nardino has carefully prepared Dollar Shot for this event, and I believe she will give a strong account of itself. Untried at this trip but I think it will enjoy it. Despite no wins yet at Pakenham, Dollar Shot has had some solid performances here.

The racing during the Autumn season is just hitting its stride this weekend as Group 1 races continue in New South Wales and Victoria.

The Randwick Guineas (1600m, $1M) dominates Randwick's racing schedule by presenting Australia's exceptional three-year-olds during a mile-distance race.
