Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 14/03/24

Racing returns to some familiar faces this Thursday with bumper cards set for Wyong racecourse and Cranbourne racecourse as we have two solid meetings in NSW and Victoria off the back of our free horse racing tips for the strong midweek meetings in NSW and VIC. As usual I have run through both of the cards and picked out an overall best bet and best outside chance of the day. I’ve also outlined our best promotions across the aussie betting sites. Best Tip: Wyong - R5 - #3 - Cassiel

Not often I make an unraced horse my best bet of the day and whilst there are a bunch of what looks to be very well placed favourites stepping out at the Wyong meeting tomorrow I think that Cassiel looks like one of the best. He debuts here for the Snowden’s coming off the back of a bunch of sharp trials and ready to win here. He has had four trials to ready him for the debut and has been blitzing fields, winning three of the trials in fine fashion and with multiple winners having emerged from those same trials I think from barrier three with Kerrin aboard, only needs even luck to take this out.

Best Roughie: Cranbourne - R6 - #7 - Tornado's Sister

Not much separates the horses in this race and for that reason I am happy to be giving Tornado’s Sister a look here for the Griffiths and De Kock camp. He has only been running well since resuming from a 28 week spell and winning first up at Terang, since putting in two sharp efforts where he has finished runner up in both. One of those efforts came two runs back at this course where he was forced very wide and with any luck he likely would have won there. I think hard fit now, getting in very light at the weights and from a good draw in a competitive but winnable race he goes well.
