Cha Cha Changes has been outstanding and is my best bet for the upcoming races. Cha Cha Changes last raced at Geelong last start, covering 1700m and finishing 1st. Carried 57.5kg with Celine Gaudray aboard. Track was good. The barrier draw looks ideal for this runner, it usually likes a wide run. Celine Gaudray brings solid experience to the saddle this Tuesday, and their timing in races has earned them plenty of respect. This runner has been expertly prepared by Ben, Will & JD Hayes, known for bringing out the best in their horses. Never beaten over this trip 1736m - hard to look past it. Yet to crack it at this track (Sale) - will this race be the one? First time on soft, but that doesn’t worry me.

Watch out for Duchess Of Argyll - this roughie has the potential to cause an upset at Sale. Back for round two, Duchess Of Argyll looks poised to capitalise on a learning experience from the debut. Duchess Of Argyll raced recently, placing 1st in a 1000m event at Bairnsdale. Jockey Nathan Punch guided the runner, carrying 55kg. Started at $5.50 odds. The training regime by R D Griffiths has been rigorous, and this horse is ready to show its potential. Perfect record over this distance (1008m), loves every step of it. Invincible so far, is there any stopping it? This Tuesday, Nathan Punch will be in the saddle and ready for a win. This race looks suitable for this tactical rider. A perfect barrier for this horse’s running style.

The racing at Randwick created an exciting Saturday last week because several horses delivered exceptional performances. The Country Championships Final provided Know Thyself with a momentous success. Vinrock demonstrated superior racing ability by winning the Inglis Sires' Produce Stakes. Briasa stunned the field in the TJ Smith Stakes after it passed heavily favoured Overpass during the race. The promising Stefi Magnetica gave trainer Bjorn Baker a massive win in the Doncaster Mile, followed by the well-favoured Aeliana, who produced a dominating performance in the Australian Derby.

Five Group one races headline the Randwick meeting this Saturday including the highly anticipated $5 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The Sydney Cup utilises 3,200 metres for authentic staying races and the Australian Oaks pits three-year-old fillies against each other over 2,400 metres before elite mares battle it out in the Queen of the Turf Stakes running a mile distance. The Provincial-Midway Championships Final run over 1,400m at the end of the card awards $1 million in prize money. Stay tuned for Saturday racing tips later in the week.
