Racing comes back to some familiar faces this tuesday with cards set for Kembla Grange racecourse and Grafton racecourse to continue a the start to the week and we have two solid cards, both in NSW as we are well underway into the peak of the Autumn season, coming off the back of one of the biggest Saturday race days of the season. I have thoroughly outlined my best betting spots. In this I have picked out a best bet and best outside chance of the day across the two cards. Best Tip: Kembla Grange - R4 - #6 - American Starlet

I have to have American Starlet on top here for John Thompson coming here for just his second career start for the camp but looking awfully well placed to go over here. She debuted at Newcastle at the end of last month when being bumped jumping and forced out wide in the straight but just sticking onto her task and chasing hard through the line to finish strongly in the runner up position. Gets a good set up here with Latham aboard and light weight and with natural improvement I think she will prove tough to beat.

Best Roughie: Grafton - R3 - #4 - Burnt Butter

Burnt Butter looks like a very good bet here for Brett Cavanough coming here third up and looking set to peak off the back of a run about a month ago in the same conditions we get tomorrow at Coffs Harbour where he raced on the speed throughout and gave a good kick in the straight to only find the exacta better. He looked to handle the conditions very well and third up now, mapping to find the lead quite softly, I think he will prove much harder to run down now third up.

Stats and Insights

Grafton has a 400m straight with the home turn being a long sweeping turn which gives runners time to position themselves for big runs in the straight.

Aaron Bullock has multiple bookings at Grafton tomorrow and rides the first three lines of betting in each of them so watch closely for him.

Kembla Grange is a very spacious course that is different to a lot of other provincial racecourses and mimics something more like Randwick which lends plenty of opportunity for runners to come on strongly late in the piece.
