Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 12/03/24

Racing returns to Goulburn racecourse and Warrnambool racecourse this Tuesday for two very solid early week cards as we look towards the midweek racing at some of our premiere courses and I have gone through both of the cards and picked out a best bet and best outside chance of the day as usual. In this article I’ve also outlined our best promotions across the aussie betting sites. I was searching for some time for a solid bet at Warrnambool tomorrow and whilst I think there are some wider spots that look good it took me awhile to find a nice animal until I saw The Big Kahuna was stepping out for the Preusker stable. He’s quite a sharp horse and he rates highly off the back of his last start coming into this. Last time out he resumed from a long 74 week spell at Bendigo where he made his debut for the stable and lead them along the rails before kicking away in the final 100m when very strong through the line. 1600m first up is no easy task and he made it look like a barrier trial so stepping out to 1700m with more upside and fitness doesn’t pose any issues for me.

Cinematic Star shapes up well here for Ciaron Maher in a competitive race. He had just his second career start about a month ago in mid February at Goulburn over the 1000m where he seems to have returned really well. He settled two wide in the run there but came to the middle of the track in the straight and battled on very well then to just miss out on the win when coming second by a head. He should have a stack of improvement now second up as that was his first run for some time and with the light weight and Ryan aboard he shapes up very well here.
