John Allen has already placed twice in 2 runs, so I think this combo is definitely due for a win, which could be this Tuesday. Likes running at Ballarat Synthetic, among the dangers for sure. In winning form, don't look past it. Good odds at either PlayUp, ChaseBet or Questbet.

Best Roughie: Malabar #7 Newcastle R7

Previously, it finished 6th of 10 at Randwick in a Barrier Trial-Open on June 28, 2024 over 1200m, 4.4 lengths behind With Your Blessing. Before that, 4th of 9 at Rosehill Barrier Trial-Open on June 11, 2024 over 900m. Should enjoy the distance (1400m), has won before over this trip. 1st up record is quite good too, having placed twice in 4 starts. Also, doesn't mind soft conditions as it's won twice before in 6 career starts. Conditions at Newcastle should be perfect on Tuesday. Big odds to have a punt each-way.
