On Wednesday, the racing continues with some expected quality races at Seymour. I like the look of Markdel at Seymour in Race 3. Also, for my roughie bet, I've got my eye on Bonnaroo in Race 8 at Seymour. The track at Seymour is looking in good condition, it's rated a good 4 for race day on Wednesday. At Seymour, I think Markdel is a standout pick of the day. A strong third-place effort in the previous race, staying competitive. Last start, Markdel raced at Seymour on 13/10/2024 over 1200m, and finished 3rd. The runner, backed at $2.90, carried 58kg under Jye McNeil and was behind by 4.3 lengths behind the winner. The race was run competing on a good track in a Mdn class. The barrier draw looks ideal for this runner. On board Markdel will be Blake Shinn, one of my favourite jockeys to bet on. This runner comes from the A & S Freedman Stable.

At the Seymour track, Bonnaroo is a horse that I've liked betting on before. Let's see if it continues. Last start winner with a powerful finish. At Geelong on 28/01/2025, Bonnaroo tackled 1425m, crossed the line 1st out of 12 runners, by 0.1 lengths. Backed at $3.50, the runner shouldered 58kg under the guidance of S Vella breaking from barrier 1. The race was contested competing on a good surface. A favourable gate could give it a tactical advantage. At this stage, Steven Vella is listed to ride her on Wednesday. They should settle nicely into this race. Trainer M W Young has given her the all clear to run on Wednesday. Has performed well under similar weight conditions before.

On the weekend, it was another great day at the track across the country. In Group 1 racing, Another Wil claimed the CF Orr Stakes 2025 with a thrilling finish to pip Mr Brightside at the line. Rivellino won the Inglis Millennium in fairly comfortable fashion at Randwick on Saturday afternoon.
