Major Share: Major Share is a useful runner for exotic bets. A tough competitor who secured the win in the last start. Major Share competed at Flemington over 1200m, finishing 1st. Jumped from barrier 6, carried 58kg, and was ridden by Tom Madden. Loves this track at Moonee Valley - unbeaten here and looking to keep it that way. Few can match this runner’s record on good tracks. At this surface, has a career record of 4-0-0, including 4 victories.

Speir: An impressive last-start victory signals this runner is in top form. Last time out, Speir competed over 1000m, placing 1st at Ballarat. Jumped from barrier 2, carried 58.5kg, and starting price of $3.10 odds. Perfect record over this distance (955m), loves every step of it, winning 3 times from 3 runs.

Merrigold: I expect Merrigold to play a role in exotic bets. Finished a strong second last start, proving race fitness is on point.

Stellar Mofeed: Stellar Mofeed is shaping up as a strong exotic bet inclusion at Moonee Valley. Third place last start, indicating good racing form. Last time out, Stellar Mofeed competed over 1200m, placing 3rd at Sandown-Lakeside.

Dirty Grin: Dirty Grin is in my exotic bets for Friday, a good value bet I think. Showed class and determination to win last race. Dirty Grin stepped out at Benalla, finishing 1st over 1112m.

Lonely Road: Lonely Road is a strong candidate for exacta bets. Claimed a stylish victory last time and could do it again. Lonely Road raced at Kyneton, covering 1215m and finishing 1st. Carried 56kg with Danica Munro aboard. Track was good. Unbeaten at this trip - knows exactly how to get the job done over 1200m.

Etched In Time: Last race didn’t yield a top-four placing, but the run hinted at better to come. Goes okay over this trip. Despite no wins yet at Newcastle, Etched In Time has had some solid performances here.

Buba: Buba is a key player in my exotic bets. Finished a close second last race, right on the winner’s heels. Buba ran at Gosford on 22/02/2025, finishing 2nd in a 1600m event. Jockey Adam Adkins was aboard, carrying 55kg. Track was rated soft.

Inferencia: If you’re playing wide exotics, Inferencia deserves a spot. Missed out on the top four but could be set for an improved showing soon. Last start, Inferencia finished in the placings over 1500m at Rosehill on 22/02/2025. Carried 54kg under Ms M Weir, started at $26.00. Track rated good.

Gendarmerie: If you’re looking for a bit of a roughie in your exotic plays, Gendarmerie is worth considering. A competitive third-place effort last start, proving reliable.
