Empress Of Wonder: Comes off a first-up run at Moonee Valley and should be fitter on Friday. She usually likes running second-up, she has won before and placed in the other race.

Grassmere Jewel: Grassmere Jewel showed promise at Warrnambool on December 1, finishing 2nd out of 7 in a BM70 on a heavy track, just 4.0 lengths behind Dubai Dancer (55.5kg) with 63.5kg at $3.30. With that run under its belt, Grassmere Jewel is expected to improve and I think is a strong contender for this race.

Thailess: Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Moonee Valley with Jack Hill in the saddle.
