Exacta - Moonee Valley - R5

1st: 11, 5, 3, 4

2nd: 11, 5, 3, 4

Placentia Bay: Placentia Bay showed promise at Mornington on November 3, finishing 2nd out of 7 in a BM64 on a good track, just 0.3 lengths behind Claim The Crown (59.5kg) with 59kg at $2.25. With that run under its belt, Placentia Bay is expected to improve and I think is a strong contender for this race.

Royal Hard Hat: Racing well at the moment and should be able to run nicely in this field. Comes off a 2nd at this track and usually likes these conditions.

Chimed: Won over 2000m at Mortlake last start. So I think that's a good form guide for Friday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight.

Almonti: In the recent outing for Almonti at Kyneton, it came in third, not far behind the leaders. Now that he's fitter, he's got a solid chance of finishing in the top three again. I think Declan Bates knows how to handle Almonti too.

Pocket Full: In its last race, Pocket Full was 4th at Doomben on October 16 over 1200m, just 2.3 lengths behind Rainbow Connection (60kg). This should be another race where I think it can potentially improve and get over the field.

Release The Beans: It's shown it has the ability to be a serious contender and with a bit more luck and a better trip, it’s got a real shot at taking this one.

Troika: Last run was a 5th finish at Doomben over 1110m in a BM68. But, I think Troika could run well here from barrier 9.

Fastconi: Very good record at this track and also likes heavy track conditions. So that suit him nicely on Friday.

Smart And Dapper: Ready to win now. Finished second last start with Dunbar on board at Warren.

Champions League: Last time on the track, it placed 3rd out of 10 in the Open at Canberra on November 5. That race was on a good track and it came in 2.4 lengths behind Bon Frankie (56kg). Should be in the mix.

Charlemagne: Last start, Charlemagne was 5th of 9 at Canberra on September 28 over 1200m on a soft track, 3.7 lengths behind Invertational (53.5kg) with 55.5kg at $9.50. But it should improve here.

Turned Down: The last run was a 7th finish at Rosehill over 1300m in a BM72. But I think it could sneak into the top 2 here.
