Rheinberg: Rheinberg showed form on July 13 at Caulfield, placing 2nd out of 7 in a BM100 on a soft track, just 5.3 lengths behind Astero (55.5kg) with 58kg at $2.35.After that race, I think Rheinberg can potentially improve and possibly get the win this time. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.

St Lawrence: St Lawrence showed some form at Caulfield last time. In its last start, St Lawrence placed 3rd out of 7 in a BM100 on July 13 over 1400m, on a soft track, just 6.6 lengths behind Rheinberg (58kg) with 53.5kg at $2.70. I think it is a real genuine each-way chance.

Astero: I like the form of Astero for Race 8 at Flemington on Saturday. Won at Caulfield over 1400m on July 13. Should enjoy the distance (1410m).

Holymanz: Resuming on Saturday. It hit the track on March 16 and Holymanz put in a solid effort, finishing 8th out of 12. Saturday's race sees some good odds to have a crack, I think. With Mark Zahra on board, that gives me confidence too. Has been good before when it's first-up.

Contemporary: Last time out, this horse made a late surge and finished a close second over 1100m at Rosehill, just behind the winner Jedibeel (55kg). Is definitely one to watch and could be hard to beat. This horse goes on top for me. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.

Kazou: I like the look of Kazou in Race 9 at Rosehill on Saturday. Previously won at Rosehill over 1200m, carrying 58kg. That was a really good win, so I think Kazou should be tough to beat on Saturday too. I think its a real genuine each way chance.

Danaustar: Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 10 in the BM88 at Rosehill on July 20. That race was over 1300m on a soft track and it came in 1.2 lengths behind Gravina (60kg). Definitely among the winning chances. Good stats when it's second-up.

Gravina: Last race, Gravina ran a place (2nd) at Rosehill over 1300m with Tommy Berry on board, just finishing behind the winner (Robusto (59.5kg)).Should get a lot of confidence from that run and should be a good bet again. Solid top 3 record at track, have a crack.

Brudenell: Last time this horse hit the track, Brudenell put in a better effort, and that's something to take note of for Saturday's race. With Andrew Mallyon riding, you know that Brudenell has got a jockey who can handle business. Looked good first-up and should be even fitter now.

Boom Torque: Last start, beat Zakiyya at Gold Coast over 1000m at the starting price of . That was a good win and I like Boom Torque on Saturday too, especially with James Orman on board from barrier 7. Likes running second-up, good record.

Vodka Martini: Last race, Vodka Martini was 7th out of 8 at Sunshine Coast on July 6 on a heavy track over 1000m, 8.7 lengths behind Hakkai Maru (58kg) with 60kg at $3.40. But it should improve here. Doesnt mind running third-up, good record thus far.

Rubiquitous: At Sunshine Coast on July 14, Rubiquitous finished 6th out of 7, while carrying 56kg at $7.50 odds. Good stats at the distance too, bodes well for Saturday.
