Batoka Chief: Won over 1600m at Pakenham last start. Looks like one of the top bets in this field.

Wascaly: Last time on the track, it placed 3rd out of 9 in the Rs0MW at Flemington on January 1. That race was on a good track and it came in 3.1 lengths behind Enxuto (57kg). Should be in the mix.

The Jester's Son: In its last race, The Jester's Son was 4th at Cranbourne on December 20 over 1600m, just 4.3 lengths behind Madison Kate (56.5kg). This should be another race where I think it can potentially improve and get over the field.

Dane On Tour: Finished 3rd at Flemington on New Years day and should build on that form into this race.

Exacta - Tamworth - R8

1st: 8, 5, 1, 9

2nd: 8, 5, 1, 9

Withstand: Coming off a nice win at Muswellbrook over 1280m with Ashley Morgan in the saddle.

Autofocus: In its recent race at Tamworth, Autofocus came in third, not too far behind 1st and 2nd. After that run, it should have a good chance of running a place in this race. Siena Grima is in good form and should be able to get a good run.

Sanzeno: Looked good last prep and he is first-up on Thursday. He’s placed in 2 of 3 starts first-up and has yet to finish outside the top 3 at this trip of 1200m.

Cresta Run: I'm a big fan of Cresta Run in Race 8 at Tamworth on Thursday. On January 1, won over 1050m at Inverell, carrying 54kg. That was a solid win, so I believe that Cresta Run can win on Thursday as well.

Tommy Perfect: Last start, Tommy Perfect was 8th of 14 at Wingatui on January 18 over 1600m on a good track, 4.2 lengths behind Patraine (56.5kg) with 58kg at $6.70. But it should get a better run here.

Strong: Coming off a solid effort at Phar Lap Raceway, running 4th and just outside the placings. But I think it can likely improve in this race.

Xrated: Last race was a 3rd place finish at Phar Lap Raceway over 2200m.

Za Beauteous: One of the favourites in this race and has raced well at this track before. She came 2nd back in December and has placed in 3 of her 7 starts at Ascot Racecourse.
