Kiwi flyer Sweysive has been in fine fettle for Bjorn Baker all season and this looks to be another chance to land a win. It has triumphed in each of its last 3 races and there doesn't look to be too many horses in this field that can stop it.

THE DANGER - All In The Mind - $3.60
Stablemate All In The Mind has been handed the tough task of challenging Sweysive here, something it has been unable to do in its career thus far. That said, conditions should suit and this horse has won well at Canterbury previously.

VALUE BET -  Awash - $6.00
Ciaron Maher throws his hat into the ring here with Awash, a horse that hasn't been able to replicate strong form of previous seasons this term but is always a threat, in any race it lines up in.

BEST BET - Theblade - $2.10
With a 50% career winning return, Theblade looks well placed to lead the market in this one at Canterbury and it should have plenty of pace to stave off the rest of the field. Conditions should suit and this is a justified market leader.

THE DANGER - Wallenda - $4.40
Competition forms in the shape of Wallenda, a very decent horse for Ciaron Maher who will be looking to rekindle some form of its own in this one. Recent results have been quiet and Wallenda could well spring into action in this one.

VALUE BET -  Aardvark - $9.00
Outside of the top two in the market, there are a few horses here who could compete and Aardvark is our pick of the bunch. Waterhouse and Bott always have their house in order at this stage of the campaign and Aardvark returns after a layoff, so is very much the unknown quantity here.

Bjorn Baker puts his hat into the ring here with Yankee One and it returns to action too here at Canterbury. 2024 form didn't set the world alight but it is a dangerous horse, who could certainly compete here.

The obvious challenger here is Wilbury, who hasn't been racing at this level but has won its last two races and is clearly in good form, making it a serious contender to compete in this one, at a great price.
