Jye McNeil gets the hoop on Mr Magnus here and it looks to be a potentially potent combination. This horse travels well, especially over decent ground and it should be gunning for it over just 1000m.

VALUE BET - Thinking Of Gerty - $5.50
Another horse that has been out of action for a while is Thinking Of Gerty but it should be very much at home in this company in Echuca. The short trip could test its speed but there is no questioning it potential.

There are a few outsiders in this one but Basilinna perhaps looks to be the pick of them. It enjoys trips over 2000m and while it has no form to speak of, it should run on well over this distance.
