Look out for the weather in NSW as it's likely going to be wet so the current soft 5 will probably change. Caulfield may have some rain as well in the unpredictable weather down in Melbourne. St Lawrence ran well when resuming, following the winner and finishing strong. He's unbeaten second up, so this a good spot for him. First-up after six months, he made ground from midfield to finish 3rd of 13 at Rosehill in a Bm100 on April 27 over 1500m, just 1.75 lengths behind Waterford with 55kg at $11.

Last time he was second up, he came from midfield to win by 1.5 lengths at Caulfield in a Bm78 on July 22 over 1400m, defeating Scantoon with 61kg at $1.80. He's fitter now and I think it looks like a solid contender here to kick off the multi.

In Flight had a strong first-up win, showing a good chase and finishing strong. Lightly raced, I think he's got plenty of room to improve. First-up after five months, he came from midfield to win by 1.5 lengths at Gosford in a F&M Bm64 on May 16 over 1100m on a heavy track. If the rain comes at Rosehill, I like him even more.

Previously, second-up, he won by 1.75 lengths at Gosford in a Mdn-Sw on November 25 over 1000m on soft ground, defeating Hawkwind with 55.5kg at $3.30. He’s got a strong winning chance again with Reece Jones on board.

Schwarz had some trouble second up but then led throughout to win the Hawkesbury Guineas. He's a Group 3 winner with a shot at the double. Last start, he was the favourite and won by 1.75 lengths at Hawkesbury on May 4 over 1400m, defeating Bojangles with 57kg at $2.40.

Before that, he finished 6th of 12 at Randwick in the G2 Arrowfield on April 13 over 1200m, 2 lengths behind Joliestar with 56.5kg at $5.50. But, I think he’s got a great chance to win again with Jamie Kah in the saddle.
