In its last run, this horse finished 5th of 9 at Moonee Valley in a BM70 on October 25, 2024, over 1600m, 1.7 lengths behind Written In Code (60.5kg). Previously, 1st of 9 at Cranbourne Mdn on October 11, 2024 over 1600m. That should be a better form guide for Friday’s race. Also, likes dry conditions, has won before on a good track and she has placed in 4 of 5 starts. Luke Nolen has formed a good bond with Divine Thoughts as he holds a 1-2-0 record in 4 starts.

I like the look of Top Calibre in Race 8 at Moonee Valley on Friday. Previously won at Bairnsdale over 1200m, carrying 59.5kg. That was a really good win, so I think Top Calibre should be tough to beat on Friday too. Should enjoy the distance (1200m). Loves dry conditions, the track at Moonee Valley should be nice. I think it's a real genuine each way chance.

Last time out, this horse made a late surge and finished a close second over 1600m at Launceston, just behind the winner Sun Halo (59kg). Is definitely one to watch and could be hard to beat. This horse goes on top for me. Previously, 3rd of 12 at Launceston Cls 1 on October 4, 2024 over 1600m. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.

This week’s racing features a loaded agenda as we have seven Group 1 races before our Melbourne Cup 2024 guide next Tuesday. Mid-week racing will see the Bendigo Cup over 2400m at Bendigo Racecourse, look out for Wednesday horse racing tips by our team. Then on Saturday, it is derby day at Flemington.
