Last outing, Lord Vettori took on a 1100m race at Gosford and finished 3rd. Carried 58kg, started at $6.00, and handled a soft surface. A wide draw could work in his favour if the pace is strong early. Jockey Mitchell Bell will be in the saddle this Thursday. Has a great winning strike rate. Despite no wins yet at Gosford, Lord Vettori has had some solid performances here. Yet to taste victory, but placing efforts suggest it’s close.

Tessy Tee raced at Kembla Grange last start, covering 1300m and finishing 6th. Carried 55kg with Ashley-John Calder aboard. Track was good. Soft going isn’t a problem, but might prefer it slightly firmer. Starting from the 5 Barrier should give this runner every chance to perform well. In top form this Thursday, Andrew Calder has a knack for getting the best out of their horses. Could be another winning run.
