Best Multibet Tips of the Day | Mar 28th

The Autumn Group 1 races season kicks on here with some very high level midweek contests in NSW and VIC as the season is at it’s peak. There’s a bunch of super solid contests at the Hawkesbury racecourse and Pakenham  racecourse. On our Onlyracing website I have posted a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our Aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

In this article we focus on putting together a couple multi bets of varying risk as we look to pick up some more lucrative bets in conjunction with our Thursday tips so follow me below as I outline my best multi bets of the day!

Pakenham - R1

#11 - Alma Rise - WIN @ $1.70

Pakenham racing kicks off with a solid race tomorrow and I think despite their being some high level maiden’s stepping out tomorrow that Peter Moody’s Alma Rise rates the highest in this field. He stepped out at Sandown Hillside at the beginning of the month when making his debut to racing over the 1500m and doing heaps of work out wide to power home from four deep and only just miss the win. That was an effort that saw him clock some very good late splits and he now steps out to 2000m with Kah aboard, he should be extremely tough to beat.

Hawkesbury - R4

#4 - Jump In The Line - PLC @ $2.30

I think that Jump In The Line can make sharp improvements off the back of his debut to racing where he stepped out here over the 1100m and chased hard along the fence when doing plenty on debut to finish fourth after setting near last in the field. That race has already has two subsequent winners and is shaping up to be a great form reference and he now rates fitter and gets in light with the claim from Wadick. Go well.

Hawkesbury - R5

#8 - Zarrose - PLC  @ $1.75

Zarrose has to rate as a key chance here dropping way back in grade now and is approaching D-day. He won first up at Kembla but since stepping out in Saturday company he has been unable to replicate that effort and comes out of a luckless run at Rosehill where he couldn’t find a split when finishing midfield. Hard fit, way back in depth now and I think for the sake of the multi he’s a good place bet.

LegsOdds
Pakenham - R1 #11 - Alma Rise - WIN$1.70
Hawkesbury - R4 #4 - Jump In The Line - PLC$2.30
Hawkesbury - R5 #8 - Zarrose - PLC $1.75
Total Odds: $6.80

Stats and Insights

  • Multi betting can prove very lucrative as you can take two short favourites and land up with very good odds as they are multiplied.
  • Since the returns on multi bets are perpetuated you are able to make smaller investments and minimise your risk
  • Frequency of losses is increased with multi betting as you are generally chasing higher odds bets that have more legs to fulfill.

Best Horse Racing Betting Sites

I am an avid horse racing enthusiast and punter. Growing up in Randwick, I have been surrounded by racing through stories from the elderly’s past endeavours to the racecourse and owners that are friends of the family. I am also a data-scientist and am fascinated and intrigued by the algorithmic approach to form. I’ve has become more involved with racing over the past few years due to simultaneously delving deeper into the sport and learning how to apply a data driven approach to punting. Beyond Racing, I am an avid NRL fan and MMA fan, the latter of which I have largely applied the same philosophy of methodical, data driven punting towards and found solid success in the MMA space and I continue to track and improve my strategies.
