Debutants need to sink or swim in this type of contest and Algadon Storm looks set to give a good account of itself. It won't be easy to win this race but this horse has shaped up well in trials.

A decent return to the track at Flemington a couple of weeks ago will give connections hope that Sweethearted is ready for this challenge and if it runs a half decent race, it shouldn't be too far away.

Winning last time out is a huge tick in the box for The Showvinist and it will be in the mix from the outset here, especially if the ground stays good and firm.
