Having come close in some good contests recently, Brazen Lady drops down a level here at Caulfield and is a contender as a result. This is a very good horse, with more than a chance in this one.

VALUE BET - Paradise City - $5.00
Plenty of horses have value in this one but Paradise City is perhaps the pick of the bunch outside of the favourites. It has won two on the spin prior to this and shouldn't be ruled out of making it a hat-trick here at Caulfield.

All eyes will be on the battle at the top of the market between Zardozi and Pride Of Jenni and this should be a battle royale here. Zardozi certainly has the speed and the recent form, not to mention the better performances over 1800m. 

THE DANGER - Pride Of Jenni - $3.50
There is no questioning the reputation or calibre of this horse, it just remains to be seen whether it can do it at this level still. Second favourite for a reason but writing it off completely is never wise.

VALUE BET - Que Tempesta - $8.00
Irish flyer Que Tempesta returns to action following a long layoff for the Hayes yard and this is a baptism of fire. A very capable horse though, who has decent claims over this trip.
