BEST BET - #7 - Winchester - (BEST BET)
Winchester punters should be confident in its ability and form, making it my best bet for Wednesday. Struggled to land in the top four last race, yet displayed moments of promise. Last time out, Winchester competed over 1200m, placing 7th at Warwick Farm. Jumped from barrier 1, carried 57.5kg, and starting price of $2.05 odds. Track record isn’t inspiring, but anything can happen at Rosehill on Wednesday.

THE DANGER - #6 - Imperial Force
Imperial Force looms as a serious danger to the race favourite. Struggled to make the top four last start, but showed glimpses of ability. Last start, Imperial Force finished in the placings over 1400m at Rosehill on 14/09/2024. Carried 54.5kg under Tyler Schiller, started at $8.00. Track rated good. Has won from similar barriers before, so should be fine.

VALUE BET - #3 - Anavinci
Anavinci is a well-priced contender that could return nice value. Last race saw a finish outside the top four, looking to bounce back with stronger form. Last outing, Anavinci took on a 1300m race at Randwick and finished 10th. Carried 57.5kg, started at $12.00, and handled a good surface. A good draw too, gets to run from the 5 Barrier.

BEST BET - #5 - Kapakiri - (NEXT BEST)
Kapakiri is tipped as the best bet for Wednesday, should have strong support. Finished outside the top four, but continuing to develop as a competitor. Kapakiri ran at Flemington on 15/02/2025, finishing 8th in a 2000m event. Jockey James McDonald was aboard, carrying 58.5kg. Track was rated good. The draw could be tricky but not impossible to overcome. Solid record at this track, winning 1 time from 6 runs.

THE DANGER - #8 - California Grass
Punters should keep an eye on California Grass, as it’s a strong danger. A fighting third last start, sticking on gamely in the final stages. California Grass lined up at Warwick Farm, finishing 3rd over 2400m. Backed at $5.50, jumped from barrier 3, and carried 55.5kg under Reece Jones. A perfect barrier for this horse’s running style. Hasn’t won at Rosehill yet, but might be ready to change that.

VALUE BET - #9 - Final Reset
Final Reset is my Wednesday value pick, worth a closer look in the betting. A competitive runner-up effort last race, proving readiness for another crack. Final Reset competed at Doomben over 2200m, finishing 2nd. Jumped from barrier 8, carried 57kg, and was ridden by James Orman. Has the speed to make use of an outside barrier.

House Of Cards is highly rated for Wednesday, expected to prove tough to beat. A game third-place finish last race, battling to the line. House Of Cards raced at Warwick Farm, covering 1400m and finishing 3rd. Carried 60kg with Regan Bayliss aboard. Track was good. A wide draw means it might have to do extra work early.

THE DANGER - #8 - Pocketing
Pocketing should not be overlooked as a serious contender. Finished outside the top four last start, showing potential for improvement. A wide draw means it might have to do extra work early. Has won at this trip before, can do it again I think. Handles the distance well, boasting 1 wins from 2 runs. Yet to crack it at this track (Rosehill) - will this race be the one?

VALUE BET - #5 - Flying Thinker
Flying Thinker has generous odds on offer, this could be the best value selection. A strong runner-up finish last start, showing great determination. Flying Thinker competed at Warwick Farm over 1400m, finishing 2nd. Jumped from barrier 2, carried 59kg, and was ridden by Kerrin McEvoy. The 7 Barrier should suit this horse.
