Proved is my Wednesday best bet, carrying the highest expectations of the card. Proved has been a consistent performer, placing in three consecutive races without fail. Last start performance, Proved came 1st over 1200m at Pakenham. Carried 59kg, guided by Carleen Hefel, and started at $1.95. Expect Carleen Hefel to be in control this Wednesday. Their experience and race craft make them a strong contender for the win. Unblemished career record, this horse is flying. Few can match this runner’s record on good tracks with 4 wins in 4 starts.

THE DANGER - #7 - Ten Deep
Ten Deep looms as a serious danger to the race favourite. With three consecutive placings, Ten Deep has shown its ability to stay competitive. Ten Deep competed at Seymour over 1300m, finishing 2nd. Jumped from barrier 2, carried 59kg, and was ridden by Linda Meech. Linda Meech is in the saddle and in good racing form. This should be a dangerous combo. Flawless here at Sandown - this is its happy place, it seems.

VALUE BET  - #5 - Matawai
I think that Matawai represents solid value in Wednesday’s betting markets. Dug deep for a third-place finish last start, staying tough to the end. Jockey Blake Shinn will ride this runner. This jockey is known for his ability to time the run perfectly. Has won at this trip before, can do it again I think. Handles the distance well, boasting 2 wins from 4 runs. Despite no wins yet at Sandown, Matawai has had some solid performances here.

BEST BET - #1 - Stage 'N' Screen
Last time out, Stage 'N' Screen competed over 1200m, placing 3rd at Moonee Valley. Jumped from barrier 1, carried 58.5kg, and starting price of $1.75 odds. Logan Bates has the skills and race intelligence to make a big impact on Wednesday. Looking forward to their performance.

THE DANGER - #6 - Bronte Beach
Having shown potential in the first race, this is the second start for Bronte Beach. Last start performance, Bronte Beach came 1st over 1400m at Pakenham. Carried 57kg, guided by Daniel Moor, and started at $3.60. Unbeaten at this trip - knows exactly how to get the job done over 1400m. Faultless record so far - tough to beat again. With Ethan Brown on board, expect a tactically astute ride this Wednesday. This jockey always brings out the best in their horse.

VALUE BET  - #5 - Girijaala
This second start provides Girijaala with a great opportunity to show improvement. Girijaala raced at Sandown-Hillside last start, covering 1300m and finishing 1st. Sandown Racecourse and this runner have been good before. She really loves the conditions that this track offers. Expect another strong showing on a good track at Sandown.

BEST BET - #3 - Bit Of Shoosh
Bit Of Shoosh punters should be confident in its ability and form, making it my best bet for Wednesday. With each race, Bit Of Shoosh is learning more, and its third start marks another step forward. On 15/03/2025, Bit Of Shoosh lined up at Caulfield, finishing 9th over 1600m. Reliable performer with a respectable strike rate. I’m confident that Daniel Stackhouse will ride a calculated race this Wednesday. Their history of strong performances makes them a reliable choice. Won on a good track before, watch it run well at Sandown.

THE DANGER - #14 - Pula
I think Pula is an intriguing runner that could challenge for top honours. A tough fourth-place run last start, sticking on well under pressure. Pula stepped out at Sandown-Hillside on 05/03/2025, finishing 4th over 1500m.

VALUE BET - #6 - High Praise
Attractive odds make High Praise an interesting value selection. High Praise has consistently finished in the placings over the past three races. High Praise ran at Pakenham on 06/03/2025, finishing 1st in a 1600m event. Jockey Damian Lane was aboard, carrying 59kg. Track was rated good. Damian Lane will guide High Praise and given their record, they’ll give the horse every chance to shine. A true master over 1600m - hasn't been beaten yet and unlikely to start now.
