Tom Kitten won the Group 1 All-Star Mile at Flemington on Saturday. It was the gelding’s second G1 win and his first win at Group level this season. Lindsay Park’s Mr Brightside finished second, with Light Infantry Man in third.

Revelare and jockey Ryan Hurdle have done it again. The Robert Hickmott-trained gelding has now won five straight races after winning a Benchmark 84 run at Flemington on Saturday. He now could be in the running for this year’s Melbourne Cup at the same racecourse.

Mr Brightside has now won back-to-back Group 1 Futurity Stakes races. The nine-time Group 1-winner outlasted James Cummings’s Tom Kitten to win the marquee Caulfield Racecourse event on Saturday. Mr Brightside is now eyeing the Group 1 All-Star Mile on March 8.

Clinton McDonald’s Angel Capital solidified his status as the Group 1 Australian Guineas favourite this week with an impressive exhibition run at Cranbourne on Monday. He also finished first in his prior competitive race, the Group 2 Autumn Stakes at Caulfield.
